Mom Jeans.

Mom Jeans. (2014 - ) was formed by UC Berkeley students Austin Carango and Eric Butler in early 2014, together they recorded their "Spring Demo" then later rereleased as a Self titled album on Fourth Row Records, the interesting thing about both of these releases as they are no longer available for download or for purchase (they were initially available through free download through their bandcamp page). People who are a fan of Mom Jeans might also be fans of a band called Modern Baseball who's guitar riffs and lyrics are throughout this album, in other words these two releases HEAVILY use material from Modern Baseball's two albums "Sports" and their second album that came out the same year as these Mom Jeans. releases "You're Gonna Miss It All". These songs are not entirely stolen or are meant to be passed off as entirely their own songs (although there was no credit initially to MoBo when released" I personally enjoy these songs for what they are and like the different lyrics with the familiar enough guitar riffs and chords. Mom Jeans has now released multiple albums / EPs and splits, all for sale through their site or other labels which is why I am only including their earliest releases that were initially free and are no longer being sold

long story short: Good music but give credit where credit is due

Favorite Track: This is hard as the entire album is 20/10 but if i had to choose an absolute favorite it would be Screenshot (this song in particular is almost a carbon copy of "Hours Outside In the Snow" by Modern Baseball)

Note: this release had two different album art versions, one had 3 pairs of Mom Jeans as it's cover and was released through the band themselves, the artwork I am including is the album art for their release through Fourth Row Records, besides the album art the albums are completely the same
